The Sexual Assault Survivors’ Centre Sarnia-Lambton is proud to offer all of our public education programs FREE OF CHARGE.
Public education is important for promoting safety. Increased awareness on the issues of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, and sexual harassment allows people to develop safety skills that enable them to identify dangerous situations, develop strategies for dealing with potentially unsafe situations, and gain knowledge of available resources and options that are available to them if they experience sexual assault, sexual harassment or are a survivor of childhood sexual abuse.
At the Sexual Assault Survivor’s Centre Sarnia-Lambton’s Public Education is achieved through:
- Workshops
- Trainings
- Seminars
- Presentations
- School Programs
- Lending Library
- Handouts, Posters, and Brochures
All public education provided by the Centre is designed to empower individuals by increasing self-awareness and awareness in our community. Our public educators employ writing exercises and brainstorming as a way of engaging participants and encourage sharing within a safe and non-judgemental environment.
All public education is tailored to suit your needs, interests, group size, age range, location and type of event. We also offer flexible availability of days or evenings.
