The male ally coalition consists of a group of male identified volunteers who unite themselves with one another as well as the Sexual Assault Survivors' Centre to promote a common interest. People who are allies are not only helpers, but also have a common interest with those they desire to help. It is through this alliance, we hope our Centre, clients and community benefit from the bond or connection we share. The M.A.C. mission & vision is below:
To work alongside the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Centre creating a visible male presence while:
- Creating a safer community through education
- Participating in community events that raise awareness, with a focus being in the VAW sector
- Investing in solution focused change of systemic barriers and gender based violence
- Supporting and empowering male survivors of sexual violence.
